scars in Borambola’s walls remind us of a visit by the notorious
bushranger Captain Moonlight. After his first release from Ballarat
gaol, he turned his attentions to accruing enough ill-gotten wealth to
flee the country for good. Captured by police in 1879, hanged in 1880,
he never realised that dream.
THE WINEDisplaying an
abundance of classic Cabernet flavours oak characteristics from aging
in French oak barrels, this wine is well balanced and ready to enjoy
now but will develop with careful cellaring.
SOURCEThe wine is produced from premium Cabernet Sauvignon (100%) grapes grown in the Borambola vineyard.
