2007 Hiraji’s Spell Shiraz
In 1943 a fine young gelding named Hiraji was born in the stables at Borambola. Raised and trained in our lush Riverina paddocks, Hiraji went on to win the 1947 Melbourne Cup. Now the paddocks are home to some 50 rows of outstanding Shiraz grape vines.
THE WINEThe Borambola Shiraz exhibits the generous complexity of fruit expected from a good vintage.
SOURCEThe wine is produced from premium Shiraz (100%) grapes grown in the
Borambola vineyard.
COLOURAn almost black centre with deep purple and crimson rim.
NOSELifted nose of wild blueberry and pepper.
PALATEThe palate has firm tannins and a charry oak finish.
